劇情簡介
未來幾十年內，人類探索利用太空的程度不斷加深。2040年，利用空間扭曲技術深入宇宙的“新領域號”消失於海王星附近。
2047年，新領域號突然在海王星發回訊號，內容似乎為求救，於是當年設計新領域號的威爾博士（Sam Neill 飾）受命乘坐營救船“路易與克拉克”號前去施救。船長米勒（Laurence Fishburnes 飾）不甚友好，所幸路易與克拉克號很快按計劃與新領域號對接。雖然生命掃描顯示新領域號充滿生命跡象，但搜尋之後營救隊發現所有船員均死亡或消失，新領域號內制造黑洞的核心動力部分產生的震蕩破壞瞭路易與克拉克號的外殼，營救隊被迫暫時停留。
新領域號殘留的影像記錄將當時血腥的一幕呈現給所有人，同時營救隊員們被幻象所困——他們分別看到瞭自己心中無法釋懷的傷痛。隊員們陷入瞭崩潰的邊緣。然而更令人驚異的是，新領域號似乎具有瞭生命。威爾博士相信新領域號的變化是由於它進入過地獄，米勒船長為瞭拯救隊員們和威爾展開瞭生死對決……DISC INFO:
