劇情簡介

伊比（基南·卡爾金 Kieran Culkin 飾）是一個正處在叛逆期的十七歲男孩，常年生活在壓抑的傢庭環境之中。伊比的父親傑森（比爾·普爾曼 Bill Pullman 飾）有著嚴重的精神分裂癥，母親咪咪（蘇珊·薩蘭登 Susan Sarandon 飾）自私冷漠依靠服用鎮定劑保持冷靜，哥哥是一個完完全全的政治狂人，已經喪失瞭人性。

再也無法忍受這樣的傢庭氛圍的伊比決定離傢出走，但是他的反抗很快就遭到瞭母親的壓制，母親先後將伊比送往兩所軍事化管理的學校中，企圖讓兒子重回正軌，但都以失敗告終。最後伊比來到瞭教父貝恩（傑夫·高佈倫 Jeff Goldblum 飾）傢中。貝恩是一名成功的商人，在他這裡，伊比第一次找到瞭傢的感覺。
