簡 介
朱麗安是姐姐，在女性雜志社工作，平常為婦女權益吶喊；妹妹瑪麗安卻是個激進的恐怖分子，在被捕後憤然上吊自殺。但這對姐妹在小時候的性格完全相反，一個叛逆，一個溫順，成年後兩姐妹的路途卻南轅北轍，朱麗安還對妹妹一直抱有成見，兩姐妹關系對立冷漠，直到妹妹的去世，才引發姐姐對妹妹生活真相的追查。
幕後制作：
德國女導演特洛塔的女性主義電影，借助一對德國姐妹的不同命運，來揭示德國社會的政治現實和歷史關系，風格壓抑沉重。導演以小喻大，利用姐妹的個人對立來影射整個德國歷史和現實的格格不入造成的隔閡感，色調陰沉，多特寫鏡頭，帶有濃厚的女權意識。兩姐妹的少女生活片段裡含有引射東西德的政治寓意，較為晦澀難明。
