劇情簡介

在宇都宮市的城郊結合處，農村青年和田滿夫（永島敏行 飾）和傢人生活於此。隨著城市化的推進，居住在農村的人們對都市的繁華充滿憧憬，早已拋卻舊有的質樸。滿夫的父親（ケーシー高峰 飾）離傢出走，與一酒女長期廝混；兄長哲夫（森本レオ 飾）遠赴東京，過起瞭白領的時尚生活。滿夫則固守鄉土，耕種著祖祖輩輩賴以生存的土地。平日裡靠種植大棚西紅柿營生，日子平淡倒也殷實。所謂兒女是父母的掛念，老母親開始為老兒子張羅婚事，在加油站工作的花村綾子（石田えり 飾）便這樣走入滿夫的視線。不久，父親為幫老友競選回歸傢庭，滿夫和綾子、好友、酒女間也糾葛不斷，平淡的生活驟起波瀾……
本片根據立松和平的同名小說改編，並榮獲1981年電影旬報十佳影片第二名。
