劇情簡介
母親去世後，瑞拉（莉莉·詹姆斯 Lily James 飾）的父親迎娶瞭美麗的特曼妮夫人（凱特·佈蘭切特 Cate Blanchett 飾），特曼妮夫人還帶來瞭她的兩個女兒安泰西亞（荷麗黛·格蘭傑 Holliday Grainger 飾）和崔西裡亞（索菲·麥希拉 Sophie McShera 飾）。瑞拉本著善待他人的善良之心和繼母與兩個姐姐和平共處，然而，這一切卻在父親去世後發生瞭翻天覆地的變化。
失去瞭父親的庇護，瑞拉徹底淪為瞭特曼妮夫人的奴隸和傢中的女傭，可是，即使飽受親人們的壓迫與侮辱，瑞拉依然決定留下來，守護這個傢庭。一次偶然中，瑞拉邂逅瞭名為基特（理查德·麥登 Richard Madden 飾）的男子，然而，她並不知道眼前這個充滿瞭魅力的年輕人貴為王子，還以為他隻是區區侍從。王子在王宮裡舉辦瞭大型的宴會，邀請全國上下的少女們前往參加，瑞拉也想去，但特曼妮夫人顯然並不喜歡她的這個主意。
