簡 介
1975年，北愛爾蘭在北愛爾蘭自願軍針對羅馬天主教平民的暴力騷亂中飽受著苦難和創傷。當時年僅17歲的小阿裡斯泰爾（連姆•尼森 Liam Neeson 飾）在暴力氣氛的感染下也不由得加入瞭北愛爾蘭自願軍，並且在一次針對羅馬天主教平民的暴力活動中當著年幼的喬•格裡芬（詹姆斯•內斯比特 James Nesbitt 飾）的面殘忍地殺掉瞭喬的哥哥。隨著騷亂的平息，阿裡斯泰爾被判處十二年有期徒刑，而親眼目睹哥哥被殺害的喬卻始終生活在母親的責難和愧疚之下。三十多年之後，一傢電視臺同時邀請長大成人的阿裡斯泰爾和喬出席一次節目錄制，試圖通過訪談的形式不僅還原事件真相，同時也希望兩人和解。但是面對弒兄兇手，一直備受心靈折磨的喬將如何面對？而阿裡斯泰爾將如何向喬講述當時的事件原貌？兩人是否會由此和解，而他們的生活由此又會產生怎樣的改變呢？
