劇情簡介
這被認為是大衛•林奇拍得最混亂的一部電影。爵士樂手（比爾•普爾曼 Bill Pullman 飾）和他的妻子（帕特麗夏•阿奎特 Patricia Arquette 飾）一天早上收到瞭一盒錄影帶，他們發現裡面的內容竟然是他們日常生活的點點滴滴。從此，他們每天早上都會收到這樣的錄影帶。這天，樂手發現錄影帶裡的內容竟然是他殺死瞭妻子！當他沖進臥室時，發現妻子果然死在瞭床上。
警察將他帶走瞭。一晚過後，原本在監房裡坐著的樂手變成一個年輕的維修工，莫明其妙的警察隻好將他放瞭。維修工因一手出色的修車技術深得黑社會老大器重，這時，他發現老大的女人竟然和他的妻子長得一摸一樣，隻是頭發顏色不一樣。老大的女人主動勾引瞭維修工，兩人攜款潛逃。當他們來到荒漠公路時，維修工與女子瘋狂做愛，之後他又變回瞭樂手……
